He is building 2 for me and 2 for my son specked out like the ones on his web site. Give him a call and he will let you know exactly what the specs will be. He has a small shop with low overhead and his doing these sells to get his name out.

I'm giving it a shot.

It will give me something to shoot while I wait on my 300BLK SBR stamps to come in :D
(And something to generate 5.56/.223 brass to trim down to 300BLK)

Surely your not selling the KGB AR15 and M4 Carbines as spec'ed on this page for $550, are you?
http://www.kgbarmory.com/KGB_AR_s_M4_s__AK_s.php

CONFIRMED. They ARE the M4's shown on the site. Straight from the horse's email.
Aye, he said he would do a 20" barrel for me. So, I'm happy. Getting what I wanted in an AR-15 for the price I was going to pay for an upper for my SBR lower.

So what's the deal? Same price? Does he have a list of components to choose from? How long did he say it would take to deliver? Sounds almost too good to be true.

Give him a call he can fill you in on the details. He is easy to work with.

Just spoke to the guy. I'm gonna have him build me an M4 carbine with a 14.5? barrel and pinned flash hider.

Normally I like to do my own builds, but this is too good of a deal to pass up.

OK, I have a friend that's about to drop a check in the mail to KGB. Do we have enough references on this guy? Seems helful and responsive, but I always like to have a referral. His FFL checks out.

If it is any help. I first found out about Neil from another gun forum where he was the moderator of the curio and relics thread. Everyone on the forum had nothing but good things to say about him. He had a shop in Lancaster, SC called 2AGuns. I had planed to visit him there but he moved back to Monroe, NC, for family reasons before I had a chance to. I have been to his shop in Monroe 3 or 4 times in the last couple of months. To place an order for my AR's, find the value of a friend old rifle, drop off my handguns to be duracoated and to pick some of them up. I have enjoyed picking his brain on each visit. What impressed me the most was something he showed me on my first visit. It was Mosin he was modifying that a customer had shipped to him. The customers name is Denis Prisbrey. He is a contributor to Guns & Ammo Magazine. You can also find websites that have articles by him if you search his name on Google.

Mr. Prisbrey had searched gun blogs online to find the best person to build the Mosin the way he wanted it. Neil, the owner of KGB was the name that kept coming up. After emailing back and forth with Neil what he wanted done to the gun he shipped the gun to him. Neil did not know who Mr. Prisbrey was until he looked at the business card he had included with the gun. My thought at the time was if someone who works for Guns & Ammo thinks he is good enough to work on his gun that's good enough for me. It is not certain But Mr. Prisbrey may do an article on the gun. I hope this helps with any doubts you have. I am attaching a link to the KBG Facebook page that shows pictures of the Mosin he did for Mr. Prisbrey.

My friend is still waiting, but KGB has been keeping him at bay as he has not reached the promised date yet. I should have an update in a week or so. Coincidentally I clicked my KGB bookmark yesterday. They have a notice on their site saying no more ARs due to lack of parts. Maybe parts are hard to find at the price he would need to break even at his selling price.

Its really more of an issue that the parts are in such high demand that the manufacturers cannot keep up.
I got an email from him on Monday saying that he is thinking that he is getting a shipment of barrels and uppers in this week, but he had a bad phone connection when the distributor called so he's going to email me again once they get confirmation. He also said that the last shipment contained only flash hiders and quad rails.

December to August? sounds like it was too good to be true. thats worse than the BATFE.
December? Who said anything about December?
My order was placed May 25th.

I was at his shop about a week ago. While I was there he was on the phone talking about the parts issue with someone. Seems that the suppliers are shipping to the bigger gun makers first and sending him a few parts at a time. Bad thing is he has paid for all the parts so they have the money. He told me at that time that the ones my son and I ordered should be ready in about two weeks.
