JUST SUSPOSE- JUST FOR DISCUSSION- New Law Passed- You Must Turn In All Guns-Just Like They Did In Australia- WHAT WOULD YOU DO- Now, Just For Fun....

I think I would give up a gun or two...the ones that were registered with the Government...But, hide the rest along with ammo and mags...just "incase the law was repealed" If you Follow my drift...

What Would You Do????

Remember...THIS IS JUST FOR FUN.....

I am a law abiding citizen. As a law abiding citizen, I would be required to turn in my firearms. I am sure going to miss my favorite bb gun and my paint guns. And that is all I have. :D

I would also invest in some bows and arrows. Crossbows as well.

guess i would have to turn in my rubberband guns, i will be defenceless.... lol

I guess I'm the only one with the balls to say it. I won't do it. I'm not going to turn in a couple guns and smile, then hide the rest. Nor am I gonna adapt. If this happens, either stand tall and tell tyranny to stick it....or do what government expects and adapt be the good sheeple they want.

I guess we would find out whether or not THE LIST exists or not. From what I understand, the law prohibits such a list (from NICS background checks), but we'll see. Or check your credit cards for ammo sales. Or check your Internet patterns. Are gubmint agencies that smart? Or would they just contract Google?

What guns? I lost all mine in a tragic boating accident.

All kidding aside The majority is going to refuse to give up anything,I think you'd see another civil war of sorts in this country.

You will be able to divide people into 4 groups, but I think there will be a decent amount of people that turn in their firearms.

1)You have one/few-gun families out there. Either a shotgun or a single 9mm pistol used for home protection. They have it, but rarely (if ever) use it, and could do just as well without. They will turn in the gun so it doesn't interrupt their daily lives so they can go about normally.

2) Then, you have people that legally own several to a large amount of weapons. They will not want to turn them over, but if "they" come knocking to collect, the majority of law-abiding citizens won't kill a fellow American or jeopardize their family, and will begrudgingly (and maybe in handcuffs) give them up.

3) The hardcores. They will go down shooting and the "pry it from my cold, dead hands" adage will apply.

4) Illegal weapons owners. The government won't know they exist and never know to collect, so these weapons will remain in circulation, either for use of force or used as currency (trade/barter).

So, the big question is, what's your number? This is a rhetorical question; I don't want my answer branded to me on a public forum.

I think if they decide to make us turn in our guns "the list" will quickly pop into existence regardless of whether or not it already exists. I've never bought or sold a gun in a parking lot so somewhere there is a record of every weapon I've ever purchased, sold, traded or given away.
I really don't know what I'd do, and I hope I never have to find out.

It is an interesting question

I think my reaction will depend on what society is like when this happens. I will say that I won't be first in line to turn them in.

i think the answer is going to depend on who they send to collect them. Will they send the local police, the swat teams, the federales, the military, or the boys in baby blue? There are quantitative differences involved in all those scenarios. If they come knocking with a squad car or a swat van it?s one thing, if they have an APC it?s another

I would guess like anything, they will go for the low hanging fruit first: FFLs, C&Rs, NFAs. Then branch out from what they find in the FFL's logbooks. Regardless, no matter what the plan, they won't get them all.

Plus, who will they get to take up the collection? LE&M are American citizens too, and I would say for the most part "they" would be hard pressed to get your local sherriff to put a honest effort into violating the 2A rights of his friends and neighbors. They would have to bring in NATO or the Chicoms to do the dirty work.

I can't prove it, but firmly believe the almighty gubmint has the technology and is already tracking sales and transfer paperwork along with internet shopping and credit card use. In fact, since day one I've believed they monitor forums just like this one--a literal goldmine of intelligence.

Excellent point and one I've given much thought to. It will be fascinating to watch how compliant local LE and SWAT are in collection (seizure) orders. Military and Feds--maybe less than 100% compliant, but high enough to be of great concern. The "boys in baby blue" would stand little chance of success IMHO because that would be seen as a foreign invasion. I'll stop here as I've already said too much. Big Brother IS watching. Waive to the camera.

Another excellent point and one that has ALWAYS been true, especially in this country. No one can track guns whose ownership never exists on paper, so once again, the criminals have skirted "the system" and come out on top. Could there be a 'worse' scenario than this one: Only the gubmint forces and the criminal element has guns? There will be sheep and wolves, but no sheepdogs left.

From a well-known comic and movie: "Who watches the Watchmen?"

They have already done so. Watch this in its entirety. It starts out on gun treaty then moves to how it was accomplished in New Orleans.
