Thanks for the welcome guys! I've been a hunter all my life and love shooting long guns, and though I've owned a few handguns over the years I have never considered myself proficient with one. So you might say I am just now arriving at the scene.I've made a few trips to an indoor range and realized the fun I've missed out on over the years. I'm planning on taking some training courses to improve my handgun skills and have been considering trying to get a membership at Oil Capital since I like shooting my rifles and shotguns too, and it's right down the road. I am definately interested in some competition shooting, the steel challenge and 3 gun look like a lot of fun.

They are a tim of gun and a really good reason to add some new guns to the safe. Oil Capital has a great 2 gun match on the 1st saturday if the month. Lots of good guys at match. I haven't shot their Steel challenge, IDPA or USPSA matches but I have heard good things about them all.
