I was spoiled living in GA as I had 3 ranges within a few minutes of my home. Here in the center of SC there just isn't much so I decided to join the gun club about 15 minutes from my house. It isn't cheap but it sure is convenient. They do not have full time RSO's so most members just take the class so they can use the facilities whenever. I take the RSO class Thursday and then I can shoot whenever I want. I toured the place today and it looks decent and I really prefer a private range to any public range. Now, I have a convenient place to shoot...

Had a great time yesterday. Finished the practical portion of the RSO course and spent the next couple hours slinging lead with my son and about a half-dozen other club members. Finally got to shoot the new to me Sig P229 SCT and it's a smooth shooter. Tried out my son's new Beretta M9 and I really liked it. Took a while to get back into rhythm as I hadn't shot in about 6 months but got back in the groove and shot well overall. Last step yesterday was getting the red dot sighted in on my little Bushmaster AR carbine. Got it zeroed and put about 100 rounds thru it with zero problems.

It's freaking great to finally have a place to shoot whenever I feel like it...

It is nice to have a convenient place to shoot. I am lucky enough to have a range at my hunting club.
Happy Shooting!
