Hi Everybody,

Just received my JM 930 Pro today. Went to practice reloading and got my thumb stuck multiple times. Seems like the groove is an automatic thumb grabber.

My questions are what overall mods have you made to your JM? And what reloading method do you like the best and find the fastest?

Thanks for the help in advance.

My favorite mod for any shotgun is to exchange it for a Benelli :D

In all seriousness, it sounds like the first thing you need to do is get with C-Rums for a welded lifter.

BTW: Welcome aboard

I had one for a while. The lifter bit me a few times early on. After I practiced with it it stopped all that nonsense entirely. I was using the weak hand reload so I can't speak for the other methods. The only mods I made were to take of the barrel clamp and stipple the pistol grip area. Have fun with the new shotgun.

My experience, I would shoot it a bunch before you consider a lot of mods. Then, if you're satisfied with it, get the lifter and loading port done. But I rarely follow my own advice.

Thanks for the advice on the JM.

Is there a particular reload method that is faster? From the outside looking in it looks as if "dropping dueces" would only bite me half of the time. :). I have been practicing reloading 1 each with my weakhand in a handfuls of four shells.

Also what was the reason for removing the tube clamp? Removing additional weight?

I don't think the lifter will bight you as bad with the deuces or quads. I suggest you go deuces from the get go.

If you're going to be loading a shotgun fast, you need the lifter welded and tuned more than anything else. If it loads easy enough and shoots what's thrown in it, don't mess with it too much.

Used the JM 930 today in DeSoto 3 Gun competition and I am amazed how it performed. Cheap Walmart shells, didn't clean it first, and only ran a dozen shells through it for the first time 2 days ago. Very impressed for taking that abuse. I promise I'll be nicer to her. Can somebody send me C-Rums contact info? He will need to work his magic on it. Doing dues is fine but weak hand will greatly be improved with his skills. Thanks in advance. -PTP

I went for the cheap way out on moding my lifter for deuces since it didn't really catch anyway. I just opened the end up a little with my dremel so my thumb wouldn't catch and then polished it where it was smooth. I haven't seen where it would affect loading deuces and I figured it wouldn't hurt if I decide to have it welded later, I hope.

Does anyone know if the Nordic mxt extension tubes will work with the jm 930 barrel nut and end cap? They look Nordic parts but didn't know if the threads were the same. I'm looking to add a few more rounds but don't want to buy a full kit unless I have to.

For the 930 im pretty sure you have to use the older EXT tube
MXT & EXT use the same nut, but the end cap is different
