Folks in Lexington, here's your chance to help SC get more pro gun legislation passed in the future, by putting Jake Knotts out on his arse. Knotts is the Republican in the SC Senate who blocked the constitutional carry and restaurant carry bills each time they came up:

"Katrina Shealy has received official notification from the South Carolina Election Commission that her name will appear on the November 6 general election ballot."

http://katrinashealy.com/blog/ready-or-not-here-we-come/

"Knotts has said all along that he welcomes the electoral fight, even though he did everything in his power to make sure it didn?t happen."

Here is her website for those wishing to volunteer. http://katrinashealy.com

My donation is on the way.

Is there anyone in the district that can identify every range, gun store and other applicable venue to start distributing the message about Jake Knott's douche baggery?

Hey thanks for stepping up. I think there is a pretty good thread on the Jake Knotts saga. I'll see if I can find it.

Can you put together a list of gun shops, ranges etc that we can hit with some targeted marketing against Jake Knotts.

Give me what you've got on Jake's anti-gun history and I'll publish it here: http://brushfiresforliberty.com

Please go to http://brushfiresforliberty.com for more information about Jake's mafia organization and tactics. He is no less than organized crime in office. We will surely regret it if he is re-elected. BTW: if I'm found dead in a ditch in a rural area of Lexington County, Jake Knotts did it.

Are you still alive, or did the Godfather getcha? Watch out for his drunkmobile! lol

As for the anti-gun histroy, you probably already know all of the sources... but some of the members of the, now defunct, Grassroots Gun Rights, especially Robert Butler, will be able to compile a nice lost of Knotts anti-gun history. Their still functioning message board may be a good place to catch him:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scfirearms/

If I have some time today, or it may be later this week, I'll see if I can get you some info, as well.

Some of the other members or people lurking might chime in too.

THANK YOU for the post. If you're not in a particular District you may not always know what's going on in cases like this, but it profoundly affects our state.

I went out to Shealy's website and made a donation to support her election efforts.

I am ashamed to say that before this year I had never made a donation to any political party, cause, or candidate. I have come to realize though how much has been lost by a nation of individuals, like myself, who were too busy to support our way of life and by not speaking out, and financially supporting what we value most. I have always voted, but realize that is simply not enough. So I have now decided to give until it hurts and sincerely hope that others will do the same and bring about a restoration of our state and nation this November.

Yeah, thanks for the info Carsontech! I'll check it out.

And thanks to ANYONE who can make a donation to Katrina Shealy.

Jake Knotts has proved what a dirty, double-dealer he can be to the ENTIRE state. He is evil incarnate. He needs to be eliminated as an example of what we, the people can do.

Also, Jake Knotts has TONS of money coming in from lawyers, big business wanting corporate welfare handouts, the gaming industry, and others looking for handouts of OUR tax money.

And check out his latest desperate move: http://www.brushfiresforliberty.com/ind ... t-it-again

Well, after a couple of months of contacts with the NRA, it's apparent (it was already for me but I gave them a shot) that they aren't interested in helping to vote out an anti-self defense senator and replacing him with Katrina Shealy. The folks in that district are going to have to carry the water and get out and vote. I hope they are listening......

http://katrinashealy.com/

If I were a current NRA member, I'd take the $25 dollars I would waste on a membership next year and send it to Katrina this year. I hope her funds can outpace whatever old boys network keeps knothead in office.

This is our last few days to get rid of Jake Knotts. He is a RINO who even the state GOP will not endorse. Every single vote in our state senate counts, so please support Shealy financially as you are able even if you live in another district like myself.

"...Knotts has accepted at least $5,000 from individuals and companies associated with the Internet sweepstakes industry -- which state law enforcement officials say is illegal -- ?...

"The Lexington County Republican Party has voted to censure him three times. "

And yet here he is with an A rating from the NRA, and the seal of approval right beside his name.

http://www.nrapvf.org/grades-endorsemen ... olina.aspx

These are words of wisdom I received from the NRA regarding Jake:

"He's got a solid voting record, worked with me this year to try to get a
restaurant carry bill passed, and helped pass the bill that repealed the rest
of the old 70s anti-gun legislation (dealer licensing and melting point
provisions).? I'm not sure what you are hearing, but he works well with me."

"worked with me this year to try to get a restaurant carry bill passed"

???? Either someone has been sniffing glue, is easily confused, or is in a different business than gun rights. Someone over at NRA HQ needs to wake up and smell the do-do.

Here are some contacts that could use some encouragement to get in the GD game here in SC. Assuming of course anyone really thinks they care.

There are also email addy's for a couple of EVC's at the bottom of the NRA page linked above. Maybe they care what gun owners think???

While I am a Life member of the NRA and continue to support them financially, they seem to have their own reasoning at times which I sometimes fail to grasp. I always try to let them know my opinion, but have never had any luck at getting past first base regarding changes to their position though. Realistically at this point with 4 weeks left, we can only get the word out so people can make informed decisions. Everyone needs to make sure they do not vote a straight ticket though, because my belief/assumption is that would cast your vote for the incumbent regardless of who the GOP endorses.

Thanks for the email addresses. I will put them to good use.

Subject: Help needed on Katrina Shealy campaign

Good morning Victory Volunteers.

Please contact Rebecca Shadwell : [email protected] if you are interested or know anybody interested in helping with a massive literature drop for the Katrina Shealy for Senate 23 Campaign this week. Her campaign would really appreciate all the extra "hands and feet" they can use this week.

Thanks,

NO WONDER WE CAN'T GET ANY GOOD GUN LEGISLATION PASSED IN THIS STATE! IT'S JAKE KNOTTS' FAULT!!

SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WOULD BE HIS ROTTEN CARCASS AT THE BOTTOM OF ALL THIS!

http://brushfiresforliberty.com/index.p ... gun-rights

Please spread this link around to all your friends!

***As a member of the all-powerful Senate Judiciary Committee, and chair of the even more powerful Rules Committee, Sen. Knotts sponsored pro-gun bills -- just so he could control their defeat.

*** [Editor's note: This is Knott's "clever" strategy of saying he sponsored such-and-such a bill to voters and then kill it so that he can appeal to both sides of an issue. He does this at the behest of his Democrat buddies like Vincent Sheheen--WTC]

Yup. He is not a friend to gun owners, however, he seems to be a good friend to the NRA. It makes one wonder...

Following is a summary of articles in case anyone has any doubts about voting against Jake Knottsi. The first article (quoted immediately below) especially should be read if you want an idea of what kind of cretin Jake Knotts is:

His anti-gun record is one thing, but now you can add verbal abuse of women to his list of sins.

Sen. Knotts called our office yesterday to talk about his anti-gun voting record.

When our receptionist simply asked why he was calling, he went on a profanity-laced tirade that will outrage
you!

"F*#&ing gun rights!" he yelled at her, amidst a slew of other angry words.

Please call Senator Jake Knotts. If you have already, call him again.

Tell him that's not how you treat a lady, and to drop his anti-gun shenanigans once and for all!
