I've been hunting quail wrong.

That's insane.

My dad once snagged a wood pecker off the trunk of a tree when we were camping. If you've ever heard one scream, it's not something you'll soon forget.

So was the bird dive bombing him or was this staged?
I don't know anything about birds but I would think someone just released it or it was on the attack.

Supposedly it was on an actual quail hunt. It could have been a pen raised bird on a hunting preserve. It sure didn't look like how the little rockets usually fly in the wild. But wierd stuff happens.

I can say with some certainly that is a pen raised bird to fly like that.
Never the less, that was a once in a lifetime grab. Pretty damm cool!
