This is a good deal. However, you will be more satisfied if you go to Del-Ton and order a 20" kit and build your own. You can order a lower from PSA. It doesn't take special tools to put one of their kits together and you learn a great deal about your weapon. Then come back to PSA and buy your next gun or build one that is even more fun with a custom barrel and stock. That does take some special tools but not extra special skill. If you can read and follow directions you can build a kit. Just my own opinion.

That's hard to pass up if you want a basic plinker / hunting rifle. Chrome lined barrel, MPI BCG and more - looks like good stuff to me. I think you'd be hard pressed to buy new parts (at average retail) and assemble one for that price.
I might have to recommend it to my BIL as he is looking for his first AR15.

The only thing you have to do with that rifle is add sights and maybe a sling and you are ready to go...For a great price.

I don't have their rifle, but I have one of their complete lowers, and I really like it..Had to beat their stuff for the price...

There is also a rumor going around that they are going to opena store in Charleston...

that is a good price. thanks for posting that. a friend of mine is in the market for his first AR and I'm recommending this to him.

This is a little late, but they sell those kits for 499 and put the lowers on sale about 1 or 2 times a year for 49, so if you wait til the sale, you can drive to the shop, buy everything and have 50 bucks left over for some mags, a carry handle, or another $49 lower.

So this deal is a little bit different. But would let me build my AR. Price seems pretty good. Opinions?

From my experience with the PSA's, the deal is a good one. I've read some reports (blogs, reviews) that give them a thumbs up. I find the trigger to be a bit "gritty", not real smooth. Nothing a dremel tool, some #7 polishing compound won't sort out ;)

Go For It!
