I am 59 yrs old and retired. Presently have a Springfield 1911 Champion single stack 45(ported barrel and slide w/compensator). Have Para Ordnance Limited in 45acp and 10mm(40 conversion). Have Glock 30 & 21(45acp & 460 Rowland), Glock 20 & 29(10mm & 40 S&W). Looking for a LAR Mk IV Grizzly 44 magnum(have had 45WinMag & 357). Interested in modifications to my 1911's that will decrease frame battering. Aware of RSA, flat firing pin stop, firing pin spring, main spring, and RSA buffer modifications. My goal is to do everything possible to make my guns last longer using full power loads(Underwood, Buffalo Bore. & Double Tap). I do not reload.

Welcome Sir!

Proper spring selection is the biggest key to a pistol's survival. I have no use for a recoil spring buffer, they have no place in a carry pistol.
