I think everyone owes it to yourself to become an RO. It gives you a greater appreciation and understanding of the rules.

I kind of want to take the RO course to learn to game the rules better, but it seems wrong to become an RO just to torment other ROs.

as an RO i'd rather have an argument with someone who knows WTF they are talking about than someone that wants to argue rumors. Work atleast a couple of club matches, and an area match. RO's generally shoot free, they generally get their motel paid for, etc. so your not out much and gain a ton of experience.. it's great to see the other side of the coin.
