Just kidding. I'm sure I was already on it from my other purchases and suppressors and such but I did buy my first 50 BMG today. Got a Serbu single shot. Haven't got a chance to shoot it but it seems like a simple but solid rifle. It came with a cheap scope that the previous owner had on it. I think I'll try it with it and make sure I like it before I spend any serious cash on glass. It came with 220 or so rounds of ammo. So plenty to "plink" with. Any comments or words of wisdom for me?

The Ponca City Rifle and Pistol club puts on a Bivuac, and shooting qualification for an Army Reserve Unit every year.
One of the members has a Barrette.
I do the AR range, next to the Barrette. At the end of the day, I'm wasted from the MZ blast of the brake. I use double ear protection, but the blast is trememdous.

That being said, I have not seen ANY of the reservist come off the bench without a huge smile on their face :D

be SURE, the stock is firmly against your shoulder, i shot a barrett and you don't want that gun getting any momentum towards you..

i also thought i was going on the "watch" list after i sent out a text message that said... "just ordered 20 lbs of explosives!!"... not thinking that it might be taken the wrong way..

You all know nothing. I'm a middle-eastern kid with lots of guns, a redneck tattoo, and two (soon to be three) tax stamps.

Word of wisdom, keep on being white.

Took mine out again today. Got to let 5 people experience the 50 BMG for the first time. It was a good morning!

I've posted before that our range in ponca puts on a two day event for the army reserve. The diamond in their visit is getting to shoot the .50.
Very few active Military get to see one much less shoot one.
