Where else did you get water? Every neighbors hose was there for the drinking.

Ink wells. Not quite that old. You have me beat.
I'm so old...I remember when cars were made of metal.
No ink wells here either, but the desks all had the cut out for them lol.Where else did you get water? Every neighbors hose was there for the drinking.

We used the ink wells in the first and second grade, but moved to cartridge fountain pens from then on.
I'm so old....I recall having a morning prayer followed by everyone standing with their hand over their heart and facing the flag while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance....in a public school....back when the USA was a country that we could be proud of without being condemned by demoncrats.
I'm so old....I remember when the USA was a representative Republic.
