This is more or less where I'm at. I'm not sure what protections are in place to keep the increased tax revenue from getting diverted, but in that commercial with Toby Keith he said something about a constitutional lockbox and he has a trustworthy face so.

I am willing to gamble on fixing the schools because nothing else has worked as far as I can tell.

I'm looking at it as a consumer. I think its stupid we can't be lilke other states where you can buy what you want wherever you want.
We travel to Kansas and Missouri on occasion. A 2 liter of Windsor Canadian burbon in Ok runs from 19-22 dollars depending on what store you visit.
In Missouri at the Walmarts, it can be bought for $12.60 or so. That's because of different tax base on it as well as competition in the free market.
In Kansas and Missouri, the liquor stores offer sampling in the store on occasion by distillery's and wine bottlers. Nothing better than getting a wine buzz at the Costco liquor store, and going inside for a little shopping!
Seriously, the measure is about keeping a monopoly of sales by liquor stores.
How would you think about only being allowed to buy .22 LR in .22LR stores regulated by the state government? Not available anywhere else but in those .22 LR stores?
It would suck.
BTW, for the record, in St, Maartin West Indies, you can buy a liter of Crown Royal for $6 in the tax free zone and they are making a profit selling it at that price.
Taxes make up a huge part of liquor sales.

Sometimes I think about it. Then I remember that there's a world class shooting range 15 minutes from my house, my commute to work every day is 10 minutes, and gas is like $1.80 a gallon rn.
