Life-long Laker fan here (Dad took me to my first Lakers game when Wilt Chamberlain was our center). My 2nd fave team in the league is OKC. You guys are lucky as heck to have a GM like Presti -- if ownership gives him $$$, he'll keep you guys in the mix for championships for a long time, and keep you really good even without $$$. The fact that OKC picked up a Laker legend -- DFish -- is a knife in the chest (and I would not be surprised if DFish still has a miracle left in him).

OKC is built the way an NBA team should be built -- team-first athletes. My only hope when LA faces OKC in a week or two is that Russell Westbrook remembers he is an LA boy & UCLA Bruin and decides to show mercy. The concern there is that if he remembers he is a Bruin, he may remember Coach Wooden's emphasis on quickness and break all Laker ankles :(

I remember the Chamberlain days. Vaguely... :( Is my age showing? More memories of KAJ though.

Fisher was a score for sure, no doubt. He may be past his prime but he can still contribute to a young team like OKC, especially at this point in the season. Pretty shrewd move picking him up. How could you not think about a guy that has FIVE championship rings? And he probably has at least two or three more good years left if he wants them.

Can someone move this from General Firearm Discussion to the plain General Discussion area?

Just hope Perkins isn't hurt badly. Hopefully the sweep will give him time to rest and recover! Bring on the lakers!!!!!!!

Even if we go to the finals we still have to beat Miami and they are about as good as it gets this year.

I think OKC has a good chance against Miami in the Finals. It's not like Miami ran away with the league this year -- heck, if Chicago were healthy, I wouldn't even bet on Miami making it to the Finals.

OKC - Miami would be a heckuva series to watch!
