I would NOT want to get into a gun fight with this guy

Biggest compliant I always heard about the 1911s in WW2 was they where only asaccurate as you could throw them. Something tells me that training a soldier to ignore the sights had something to do with that.
 
I carried a WW2 vintage Colt manufactured 1911a1 when I was in Italy in the Navy. That thing shot well and was not finicky about mags. Some of the other manufacturer 1911s from that era were much more picky about mags. Oh and yes the Colt I carried would rattle like a spray paint can when shaken.
