Want to reload? That'll be about $500 to get started. Want to build an AR? Sure, just cough up about $700+. That pretty little Sig p238 winking at you from the display case? $600+ to dance with her.

Ok, fine. Live with what you've got to shoot with for a bit.

Let's focus on photography. Want a new camera so you can get a little more serious about it? $500 to get a basic model DSLR. Gonna need a better lens to go with that. $300+. Want some lighting equipment? Couple of good flashes, stands, umbrellas, and a remote trigger. Probably about $1000.

Maybe I could sell a couple of my children.

I gotta quit looking at crap on the internet.

Having a place to cat lady about it on the internet? Priceless......

Ya but the problem with women is they normally get jealous when you bring home another one.

Or they get mad when you trade them for something Bigger/Better/Faster/Newer....you get the idea

I'm currently reading up on reloading; hopefully I'll figure out what to buy, etc. and then find out whether it's too expensive for my budget--as are most things I enjoy

I'm telling you.

I wish I could be like Grandma and sit around and play Solitare with real cards and be entertained for 8 hours LOL.

Save your pennies and watch the classifieds "over there". Not too long ago Mitch picked up a SMOKIN' deal from someone getting out of shooting. Nikat did the same thing IIRC.

We bought ours with the stimulus check Bush sent us a few years back. It was clearanced at Sportsman's Warehouse because it was missing some little part out of the box. Dillon sent us the part for free ... GOD I MISS THAT PLACE ...

(Oh ... and I am guessing you are kinda attached to the kids but there's your Money Pit!! :P Good Lord those things can eat ... and grow outta clothes ... and need medical care ... )

i keep telling myself to find something cheaper but its all expensive. shooting hunting fishing, reloading. it doesnt matter what you get into

I always tell them, "I really like 2 out of the 3 of ya. See if you can figure out who the odd man out is." :)

I swear the 2 oldest eat twice their weight.

No kidding. I had 3 boys ... by the time the youngest was 10 (the oldest was 14) I was having to work 3 jobs just to keep them fed. Then I met GC and we started taking them to the range to shoot ... :o  Good Lord those boys could go through the ammo ... :(

Apparently I really did eat my parents out of house and home! I go back and visit now, and they've got a big screen HDTV, xbox 360, barn, fancy tractor, 2 (!!) 4 wheelers, and a full refrigerator. None of that happened when I was there!

I'm stealing that one...gotta keep them guessing. Normally I would've thought I caught a break having one of the three being a girl...but sometime's she's more interested in the outdoors/shooting stuff than the boys.

She got all bent out of shape when I took the oldest boy on a weekend backpacking trip and she's always right next to me when I'm cleaning a gun. "Dad, what does that part do?".

My two oldest are boys. The middle one is the gun nut. The youngest, the girl child, is into fishing. The oldest....I think his hobby is seeing how high he can make my blood pressure.

My dad was an avid hunter/fisherman. My wife was very anti-gun until about a year ago when I managed to talk her into a pistol. For protection when we go camping.

I've since talked her into a Marlin 795 for the middle one. I've also started an AR fund and of course I'll need a HD shotgun soon..... (3 gun? Hmmmm)

Then there is that Sig that keeps flirting with me...
