That's a beauty. Where did you pick it up at?

Picked it up at our friends at James Firearm, also had them take apart my AR-15 lower so I could send it off to have it engraved. (No gunsmithing tools + No experience = got someone else to do it)

Way to go...Now you need some .44 Specials so it won't kill your wrist...

Thanks, maybe I can get Clicker to make me some of those light loads you were using and bring them to the Shootzenfest :D
(Paying him for them, of course)

Funny you guy mentioned the 44 Specials because I've been sorting & tumbling brass all week!
With the cooler weather it's bearable out in the garage so we will have some 44 Specials very soon.

Got around to shooting it this weekend, its awesome!
With its sheer weight and the compensator, the recoil with 240gr magnum loads was very manageable.

I've got a .44 Mag...S&W V-Comp. I love the caliber.
Have you had any experience shooting lead loads through yours? Does any shaving get into the comp ports?

I was shooting soft nose (exposed, rounded lead bullet) target ammo for a while and no lead accumulation in the compensator ports.

Sweet looking .44!!

Now you need the Raging Bull's baby brother... the 5 shot Taurus Tracker! I have the Tracker and its a handfull with full power loads but when using 44 Specials its very comfortable for range shooting.

Tigerstripe, do you have something against your wrist? ;)

Size comparison: (it still has its rear sight cover on in this picture)

well when i got the 386 it was just so light, i carried it everywhere for more than a year,it felt like nothing there after the 686.
when the 44 airweight came out i just figured it would be great too, and it is, just not to shoot. still if needed for self preservation maybe its like hunting. when i shoot my 6 lb 308 i dont feel or hear it.

2 shoots and thats enough though at the range.its only been fired maybe a dozen times. want to try it? ill bring it.
the mod 29 is tame compared.
funny with the 386 and 686 there doesnt seem like a huge difference. there is but not huge.

Update: The 240 LSWC/HP bullets have been sized and lubed. The cases are primed and ready to load.
The signature edition fordnut bunny fart 44 special ammo will be finished later this week!

Now I'm considering about putting a few 300 grain XTP's into 44 Mag cases - anyone want to test drive some heavy weight stuff at subsonic velocities?

I've shot P-1/Jeff's 300 XTP load through mine already, so I'm game.

They are awfully noisy for me....but...if you want too load them, I will try them...

I also have my GSG 1911-.22 broke in and I bought the adapter so it will take the 1/2"X28 suppressor....Of course I have no supressor....but..do have the weapon to use one.
