So I went out to Accurate Iron for the first time today, and met Mike. He is extremely cool. Surprisingly cool. I'm hoping to get my shotty ready for 3Gun, and then use the crap out of it.
I just met Mike Cyrwus, and he's really cool.

It looked like an unmodified turkey-hunting shotgun with the wrong lifter in it. We did the transfer, so it's legally mine now. When I do get it, it should look like a modified turkey-hunting shotgun with neat doodads affixed to it and the correct lifter. Oh, and it does have a choke, an improved, which I think is improved cylinder, not improved modified. I guess I'll need to get a modified while I wait. I'm not sure if it's something I should order online, or try and get at Bass Pro or Academy or somewhere similar.
He also mentioned, a second time, that I would probably be interested in trading up to an M1/M2, due to the shorter bolt cycle time. This sounds good, and will likely happen, but I'll need to get good enough to need shorter cycle time first.

Still no lifter? Sounds like the perfect $575 3 gun shotgun to me! You won't notice any cycle times until you start burning rounds into the berm A's fast A's you can. Order a Briley LM choke. That's all you will need. Don't toss that IC though it will get used every now and then.

I'm hoping to see this, actually. I'm going to try for Sunday's Heartland match, and the Apr 17 3Gun at OKCGC. I hope that date is right.
