After lusting for many years over them, I finally scored me an ACOG today...

It is a TA01that is 4X32 power.

I can not believe how clear the picture is.

I can't wait till I can get outside somewhere to shoot with it...The neighbors might think I am a little crazy if they see me pointing a rifle at their house, just so I can look through the scope....

Oh well...most of them know I am crazy....

Pics or it didn't happen!

And I take rifles out in my backyard all the time!

Love the ACOGs...and you are right about them being super clear.

To make zeroing it easier, zero the 300m stadia line at 25m and then confirm the 100m crosshair/chevron at 100. You might need a slight adjustment but it'll be closer than if you don't.

Well that didn't take too long.... 8-)

Kimber "sold" at 11:04 am and then a new ACOG at 6:24 pm! Nice turnaround Steve.

I have had the pleasure of shooting 11B's ACOG several times and all I can say is congratulations and I want one. It gives me a "bionic man" type feel looking through it. Incredibly clear as y'all well know.

I hope you enjoy it and yes, we need a picture...

Ah, you have one of those rubber cinderblocks. Not to jack the ACOG thread, but how do you like it? What are they called again?

Not sure...just a multi positioned bench rest block made from ground up rubber. Got it from a civilian on post who ran the Engagement Skills Trainer and they had a million of them.

For a fixed range like Philsons is great. Multiple heights for different guns, shooters, etc.

I looooove my ACOG. Nothing like shooting a goofball repeatedly at 100 yards through a 4 power optic with ease

Well actually I traded the Kimber and a Rock Island 9mm for the ACOG and a new PSA mid-length AR-15...

I am a pretty happy camper...

I traded for another Kimber 3" yesturday chambered in 9mm. I had been wanting one for a long time. After I got that 9mm, it was time to cut loose the Crimson Carry before I shot it...

As opposed to us shooting lazers at them from time to time! lol

Sounds like a good deal for all involved. I would have loved to have that kimber!

Fordnut sent me some photos of his new hardware, so here's his new addition!

This model has the full line illumination and ranges out to 800m for 5.56mm.

Hey Buddy: Thanks for posting pics for an old computer dummy...

The first picture is on a Spiker lower and a PSA mid-length upper....which I traded off tonight...(Wed.)

The middle and last pics are on my "Keeper" rifle. That is my PSA M4. I can't wait to take it to the range...Maybe a blind old man like me can hit something now...

Will give a range report after I get a chance to shoot it...I have been reading the book on the sight...

Steve

Steve, you will get more accuracy if you take off the handle and put the acog on the uppers rail.

the closer the line of sight to the line of flight, the better.

That is the mount that came with the scope. I am looking for a rail mount now. I just can't see $140.00 for a mount. I am looking for a used one...

Steve, I may have a mount you can use. Not sure if it will fit but we can give it a shot.

Chris

And:

"That's a hell of an eye relief. Why wasn't it mounted to the flat-top rail? That A4 carry handle/rear sight detaches for a reason."

Please read the post above yours...It said : "that is the mount that I got on the scope. I am looking for a rail mount....but the only one I found was $140.00 and I am not paying that much for a mount...

I hope you understand...Avtomat-Acolyte.....

Steve

SOunds great Chris....Or...maybe I can find something to trade you out of the mount...

Call me and we can get together...

Steve

All of them have removable bases in case the buyer is mounting it on an A2 rifle. I've only had one issued by my unit but I would definately like to have one of my own one of these days. Great optic, just expensive.
