Went to the gun show at the fairgrounds this morning and found a hell of a deal on a Taurus PT1911AL in 2 tone gray/black. Excited to finally get a 1911. :D

It was pretty decent. There's as many AR style rifles and Sig brand pistols as anyone could ever want. I went to the same show a few months ago and thought it was pretty much the same. It was worth driving up from Guthrie to me since I found a great deal on the gun I wanted, but if you were going to just troll around I don't know that I'd bother.

I ended up with .67 cents left in my gun account, so it will be payday before I can afford to get some ammo and actually shoot it. lol

Here's what it looks like out of the box: http://myweb.cableone.net/qkav/PT1911AL.jpg

That style is just straight sexy. :)

No doubt. I've been pining after one of those 1911's for months. I looked at the RIA model that looks exactly like that, but when I got my hands on the RIA I just didn't really like the way it felt. Ran across a booth that had a couple of these Taurus's and fell in love.

I can't wait to pull the stock grips off and get a cool custom set. Thinking about getting this "http://cdn2.holytaco.com/wp-content/uploads/images/unicorn_tattoos_1.jpg" laser engraved on a black grip set.

So far my favorite thing was when I was breaking it down to clean it up and the spring, coil plug, and bushing all flew across the room and behind the couch. I spent the next 2 hours trying to get it all back together because I didn't find the spring plug. I don't know why the break down instructions in the manual are so terrible. I looked at three different website before I realized I was missing a part. lol
