This is my first time selling/trading a gun to a private party (read: not a dealer) and I'm not quite sure what the law is in Oklahoma. Do I need to do an FFL transfer? If someone could give me the run down, it would be much appreciated. For both handguns and long guns.

Face to face sell to resident of Oklahoma, you don't need an FFL. If you start shipping or selling to those in other states you will need an FFL.

Just make sure they are over 18 and are a resident of Oklahoma and I'm good to go?

Some people also hand write an agreement sort of like a bill of sale just to be safe. I've never done this, but I have heard of instances where it is done.

Is it normal for them to ask for exchange of driver's license numbers and such? Like on the bill of sale.

I always try to exchange info with the person I'm selling to, piece of mind on both sides. Same info you would exchange in a car accident, minus the insurance stuff. If the law shows up at my door, I can hand them the bill of sale and say, "Go catch this guy."
