How should I best trim some plastic off my Versamax front grip?

So I've been doing a little bit of quad loading and i consistently hit the second set of shells in my hand on my foregrip on the shotgun when pushing the first two into the tube. Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to best create a channel orbevel there. What materials and precautions should I take? Is there any way to make it look smoothe when finished or will it look like some jack ass took a file or dremel to it no matter what I do. I've never had to remove plastic before and make it look pretty.

I don't want to basterdize my gun too much but I think a bit of plastic removal is in order here to get the best results and not leave half my rounds on the ground as breadcrumbs for the RO to follow.

Any advice is welcome!

I'm about to round the edges on the rear of my M2 using the trusty dremmel tool.

So dremel or bust eh? Are you doing the plastic or the metal Jesse? What bits are you using?

I'm gonna hit it with one of those sand paper wheels then get out some fine sandpaper and smooth it up. The M2 doesn't need much work. I'm just gonna blend the back edge of the hand guard so that its completely flush with the receiver in front of the load hole.

hacksaw it up to the front of the receiver, then round it off. just make sure you dont expose the gas pistons and tappets

I was having the same problem as you. When doing the quad load I noticed that the second stack of shells was getting caught on the handguard when inserting the first two. On the VM, the handguard doesn't really sit flush with with receiver so I glued in a piece of kydex under it so that it makes contact with the receiver then I beveled both the new piece and the existing handguard so that it is a continuous slope, so that there was no chance of the shells catching it. I have not had a shell hang up since
