How many rounds did you shoot this week?

Im up to 330 .308 for the week.

What dept does josh work for? I bet he's on the other end. Haven't spoke to many on that side yet. They are keeping us humping at a pretty hood pace.

But I scored a 95 today with full round accountability.

Congradulations, Good shooting

it's a little tough shooting 600 yards with a 10x40 bushnell.. my good scope was backordered

it's also hard to shoot at a 100 yard standing and kneeling with a fixed 10 power scope..

i will be glad to get that 6-24x50 vortex viper pst ffp on my rifle.

600 yards? and I was complaining about the 100yrd shots at the rifle match

100 or so... Smith and Wesson 17 .22 LR
Shot some left over 38 wadcutters -- SAA clone, about 15

I'd like to fire one .223 about dark today .... Coyotes were in the neighbors chickens last night

after looking at the forecast it doesn't appear the wind will be conducive to shoot at the 800 yard line but hopefully we will get the opportunity to play at at least enough to develop a dope for the gun.

At home there is a 1,000 yard range.. now I seriously can't wait to put some rounds on paper.

Oh, so your holding out on us are you, or is this on the new police range!!?? Don't need a 1000yd, but 300 would be nice to play on with the Garand, an 03A3.

Besides no shooting last week, my neck and weather don't get along well.

ended up shooting around 450 rounds of .308 this week and I stopped shooting at noon today. Three quals today.... three 90% scores... awesome shooting conditions. I have my dope off on either the 500 or 600 shot, I kept having two high.

its a private range on the outskirts of town. Othello is building a range out at his house that I am sure we can get some 500 to 600 yard shots on...

Going to the Ponca range in the morning. Had a local guy that didn't know we existed, and told him that I'd give him the nickel tour, and do some shooting with him. .45ACP, .380, and .22

My newly immigrated wife (from Canada) and I went down to Sgt. Everett's yesterday to teach her to shoot. After instructing her on the five rules of gun safety we moved on to handling, loading, sight picture and finally... firing. This was the first time she'd every shot a handgun. In total she fired off about 200 rounds of .22LR and .38Spl. during her first session...

She started out with my Ruger Single Six in .22LR.

After she got accustomed to it she then moved on to her Charter Arms "Pink Lady" that I had bought for her about a year and a half ago which has sat unused in my gun safe for the better part of two years waiting for her to shoot it for the first time...

After 15 rounds with the Pink Lady she wanted to shoot my Ruger 22/45...

And here she is holding her first target...

She is now wanting to get a .22 pistol of her own for casual shooting. She likes her Pink Lady, but wants something a bit tamer for plinking. She went online this evening and discovered the Browning Buck Mark and wants to take a look at one. Guess we'll be gun shopping tomorrow. :D

She had fun which is why she want's something a bit tamer (.22LR) so she can shoot more. And yeah, her first shot with the Pink Lady was a bit high and off target.

It may have been off target with the first, I do know from experience that when a bullet cracks right by the head like that folks tend to do strange things. Usually its run, sometimes they hit the deck, and lastly is to return fire. I tend to think that unless they are really brave, stupid, or meth/cracked up, they want to leave really fast!!! Other than that good shooting!!!! Keep up with it!!

She definitely is getting interested. We went down to H&H this morning and she picked out a new Browning Buck Mark. Soon as we walked out the door she asked if we could go shooting. Went back to the homestead, picked up my Ruger 22/45 and a couple of 550 round boxes and went shooting at Sgt. Everett's where I added her to my existing membership so she can have unlimited shooting too. :)

She fired about 200 rounds with the Buck Mark. With the target at about 20 feet out her groupings started at about 2"-3". By the time we left they were almost all down under 1"-2".

Keep in mind she's never shot handguns up until two days ago. I'm now working on her to get her to try her hand at a Steel Challenge shoot. She's hesitant as she's worried about what others will think but I'm trying to let her know that competitive shooters for the most part have all once been beginners too and are more than willing to help her out with encouragement. :D
