I can tell you, as a 2014 Bowling Pin Grandmaster Marksman, I always aim at the bottom of the pin, the lower part of the "bulb". It's easy to align the sights on the pin and then transfer your focus to the bowling pin. Don't do this. Just stay right with the front sight and the front sight only. A perfect trigger press and front sight focus will drop the pins every time. I know this advice is obvious, but a 15 yard bowling pin deserves a lot more respect than most shooters are willing to give it.martinga111 said:Well the 1st two matches that I could have shot in 2015 were rained out, so that only left me with a indoor bowling pin match where I shot 18 rounds out of my Glock 17 and 12 rounds out of my S&W Model 66.
I suck/blow at bowling pin, but love I shooting at them. I don't know what I am doing wrong, I have the front sight dead on, I just can't seem to hit them every time as fast as I need to.
I shot 2 classes, Minor (9mm) and Major Revolver (357 Mag). There was only one other revolver shooter and he is an ex-marine gun store employee who competes at master level in USPSA and Glock matches.
I never even got to my reload and he always had one shot left when he cleared the table.
I have an IDPA match tomorrow so I'll shoot 75-100 rounds depending on how many stages they have and how many times I miss the steel.
Screw that. This is how I keep track of how badass I am.Micah_Rowe said:Nuke this thread.
