2 mag dumps each gun and a 12 pack and you'll be forgiven.Clay Gross said:It has been seveal months since my last confession.
I confess that I have only shot 500 rounds of 9mm and no rifle or 12 gauge.
Forgive me.
So you've only shot 6525, have you retired?Jesse Tischauser said:2 mag dumps each gun and a 12 pack and you'll be forgiven.
Pro series maybes requires a lot of practice early in the year last two years. That went away. I have been chasing "IT" less this year but I've still been having good finishes and 3-5 wins too. Maybe shooting too much is a problem.slemmo said:So you've only shot 6525, have you retired?
This thread is good for keeping up a annual total. I usually post on my way home from the range/match.eazenutz33 said:.22lr - roughly 500, all suppressed, some for hunting
9mm - between 8,000 and 10,000 (based upon remaining Xtreme bullets left to load)
.45 - roughly 200....all suppressed through my Osprey45
12 Gauge birdshot - between 3,250 and 4,500 (3 full Winchester rebates, plus left over cases from last year's rebates and specialty rounds...I have 2 cases of bird left for this season before empty)
12 Gauge slugs - 350-400 (3Gun's new emphasis on slugs has been expensive!)
12 Gauge buckshot - 200-250 (2 shotgun matches plus buckshot in a major 3-gun, this is a low estimate)
.223 - between 6,000 and 7,500 (based upon remaining hand loads in 40gr and 69gr in storage, plus remaining sponsor ammo in 55gr and 69gr)
300BLK - 250, sight in with two guns and recreation with various .308 silencers
TOTAL - 18,750 to 23,700
And that was painful to admit and count up! ........even more painful is realizing that too many of those were misses, costing too much time on the clock!
I'm finding more and more nowadays that match experience counts for more than actual shooting practice. I'm not really getting alot better at shooting, but screwing up a stage at matches costs alot. I did one small judgement error at the rifle nationals this year which maybe cost me second placeI'm still going to keep my yearly round count in the 15-20k area, but put more emphasis on physical training and match preparation. And since rifle WS was deferred to 2017, next year is going to be more like a training and prep year for WS.Jesse Tischauser said:Pro series maybes requires a lot of practice early in the year last two years. I do need to be putting 10k thru my pistol no matter what though. That goes away FAST!
Maybe if you actually practiced once in a while, you wouldn't have so many misses. I am vaguely acquainted with a couple pros I can try to put you in contact with if you want to try this "practice" thing..22lr - roughly 500, all suppressed, some for hunting
