Figured out why I couldn't hit shot with my pistol over the last 3-5 months. I had been using a soft target and a soft front sight focused site picture rather than a hard front site focus. Damn I hit faster in a hurry once I dropped that crap.

I bet shooting too much big stuff up close without sites I think. I was getting pretty good at point shooting at 50 yards too.

so at least 1k a month... would you say this is on par for most 3 gun pros or more or less? do you think this is a sufficient or necessary number to stay in practice... not 100% sure what im asking you but would like to hear your thoughts on shooting this amount and what it does for you....

The last two years I shot 20,000 rounds each. I'm behind for the year but spring is my slow season for shooting cause it's my busy season at work. Greg Jordan said he shot 40,000 in 2012 which is when his performance made a distinct jump closer to Horner and he has won a bunch. I don't know exact numbers but I know Garcia shoots a lot at work training cops. God only knows how many rounds the AMU guys shoot a year.

Personally I'd like to be in the 40-50,000 range so I can see if it helps. Come May I'll start shooting 200 rounds a day to get trashy for the 20 plus big matches I have remaining for the year.
