How do you improve your competitive pistol skills?

I can see Chamber's point too. Total immersion has it's advantages, especially when one is learning a new skill.

One caveat... if you learned something that works for you in one trainer's system... and you find a new trainer who really wants you to change.. sometimes it helps or you just retrograde to "what you know" anyway.

Shooting can be a lot like swinging a baseball bat... everyone does basically the same thing but we all look a little different doing it.

The amount you pay a professional who can teach well will pale in comparison to the cost of the ammo spent figuring it out on your own, if you can even figure it ot on your own.

Take classes and really put in the effort when you're there to learn.

TDSA AP1 is the class to attend if you're looking to build on fundamentals. It is the class. I cannot stress this enough. Wheter it be for competition or protection, AP1 will build the foundation for your shooting. I've shot thousands upon thousands of rounds, with instructors and TDSA was hands down the best. You will see such a huge improvement in 2 days. It is well worth the money!
