How About TV Shows?

I'm a huge fan of TWD as some of you know, but I absolutely love paranormal shows and shows about cryptozoology. Of course Halloween is the best time of year for this type of thing, and I've recorded a bunch of shows I've never watched before called American Haunting.
Most of the complaints I hear about these type of shows are "If they're investigating for only one night, how much PROOF could they actually come up with?"
This particular show installs cameras all over the home and they run 24 hours a day for two weeks.
Yes, yes I know.....Anything could be edited to possibly prove or disprove any theory or experience, but if it's viewed as entertainment and not reality I find it rather enjoyable. I don't mind being called out by skeptics on this, I understand completely if it's considered hogwash.
Most "reality" paranormal shows are frauds, but they're still a huge draw for tv audiences.
When I watch these new shows I'll make a report on them.....

I enjoy those types of shows for the entertainment value. I remember watching one show where they were trying to prove or disprove the existence of the lochness monster, but they only went out for one night. It's a big freaking body of water and they expected to find it in one night! What a joke. That one wasn't all that interesting but a lot of times they're at least entertaining.

Yeah, you won't find a ghost in one night so why the hell would you think you'll find Nessie in a large, deep, cold lake in one night? Same thing with Bigfoot and little green men.

Not in the same genre as those shows, but I am find myself hanging onto "Revolution"
Those that are not familiar with it, it takes place about 15 years after a global event that mysteriously "turns off" all electricity.

The first season kind of lost me about halfway through, some of the plot lines were pretty hokey and the writing was...lame...

About 4-5 episodes into the second season and I am liking it a bit more.

Quite a bit of the usual firearms SNAFU's: they are ALWAYS using full-auto, don't seem to run out of ammo except when it is important to the plot, etc.
And equipment blunders, rifles with no rear sights, Glocks and ARs that "click" when they are empty and the trigger is pulled a couple of times.
I can live with the missing sights on rifles, it is post-apocalypse after all, folks would probably use whatever they could get their hands on...
Anyway, it's kind of a cool show IMO, and I'll keep watching until it gets totally retarded.
It also doesn't hurt that one of the female leads, Tracy Spiridakos, is INSANELY hot.

did the 2nd season go to cable? i havent seen any.

i like Supernatural. havent seen it this season either. the network is trying to copy it with Sleepy Hollow. not nearly as good as Supernatural.

The only shows I can watch nowadays are the walking dead, top gear (british) and world war 2 in color.

I know this is old, but trying to bring a little life into this forum and revive this topic. I want to say I don't watch much tv but the last couple of months I have been beginning new series that have been out for a while but I just never got into.

The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
Justified
Breaking Bad
Vikings Season 1 (season 2 just began last night so I will wait)

Still have to watch Dexter and The Americans. But normal weekly series that my wife and I try to watch is Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, sometimes the Miller's and Mom. Most times we miss these network series though.

wow i never knew we had so many serial killers around.

and some of the sentences are absurd.

It's funny you mention Top gear. I definitely agree on the British Top gear. The US version to me seems like a cheap rehash of all the stuff already done on the original. I suppose if you never saw the original you may not notice but if you did, it doesn't stand up. The only thing that does irk me is the occasional anti-us remarks they make.

Several shows I watch have already been metioned such as Revolution. Its a little over the top but still decent. Justified is the best show on TV at the moment followed closely by the Walking Dead. Falling Skies is also a great series, new season starts in June I believe.

I got sucked into Falling Skies too. I've just gotten all of Last Resort to watch as well. We watch Castle and Big Bang and that's about it right now. I think Warehouse 13 has one more half season to wrap up.

Well, and lots of Daniel Tiger and Peppa Pig. (PBS shows for toddlers).

Some car friends were talking about TG. One friend mentioned that he liked the "Top Gear UK". My other friend responded, "You mean, 'Top Gear'?" As in, none of the other ones count...

What I like most about that show is that they are obviously good friends, and mess with each other accordingly. The occasional US or other country slur... meh. Some of it is outright true (which makes it funny), some of it is hyperbole (even funnier) and some is just mean (less funny to us). But I've got enough confidence in my patriotism that a TV presenter on a UK car show can say pretty much anything he wants to about the USA, and it won't ruffle my feathers.

Dexter has been a really good series. They have all seasons on Netflix watch it now.
Just getting caught up on game of thrones really good as well.
First two seasons of walking dead we're good but lost intrest.
Same with sons of anarchy.
I watched one season of justified and although I don't think it is a bad series I'm from that area of Kentucky and just doesn't do it for me. Not true to the area...
Mysteries at the museum is worth a watch too cool random historical facts.
American horror story first season was good but second season was a disaster.

The second season of the walking dead was kind of pointless. The third season was much better, and the fourth season is just as good.

Two of the best shows on TV (IMHO) are both on Cinemax - Strike Back and Banshee. Justified is great, sad it will end next year. When all else fails I go to BBC America as a lot of the Brit shows are pretty good and I love Top Gear.
