I love every thing South Carolina. I have had the opportunity to live in both the low country and the up state for a decade now. I really am amazed at being able to go from the dark corner to the low country in only a few hours. Visited the sand hills and need to do a little more time in between. My wife is born and bred SC native and so are my children. Me on the other hand came from a different place. Seems like the site has a lot of native south carolinians and travelers. Feeling a little nostalgic and though I would share a fond memory of my home town... https://youtu.be/yqDVObM1kxc.

I did some offroad driving on Black Mountain. Loved the area... but that was more then 10yrs ago when it was still under a private owners. But alot has changed. The memory stuck in my mind from being up there is, pre 18yrs riding 4wheelers with out helmets doing wheelies down the road. I had so much fun out there really miss it.

Yeah black mountain is quite the 4x4 destination these days. I spent most my time on Mountain driver or wilderness off road trail (i think thats what they call it now). Pre 18 heck I got my first 4 wheeler at around 12 (300 honda fortrax). The first thing i learned was how to drop shift to do wheelies. A different way of life in those parts for sure.
