I know you wouldn't be unsafe. One reason I asked is that me and a friend (not a mannequin "friend") were talking about using the exact same setup but we don't have that much room so we were trying to figure out something else. Probably end up using some plate steel

I want to shhot it with some tracers to see if I can tell where the ricochets are going but it's so damn dry that'll just cause more pronlems

That is actually better. You can precisely pinpoint your point of impact based on where the smoke and flames are.

If you want steel targets. Check out Big Dog Steel or Outback Welding. I got mine from Big Dog but Outback is closer so shipping may be cheaper

I'm not real sure if that was me or not. We tried to weld some chain to some old discs we had but as soon as they're hit the weld broke. The discs we used were from a planter and were too thin too and would crack and break. I want to try some discs from a disc.. The bigger thicker ones. But the shape of them concave or convex depending on which way I hang them, would cause some wicked ricochets for sure. I have a bunch of propane bottles from gas grills and such that I could cut the bottom out and make a bell like the oxygen cylinder, but I'm not sure how thick those are. The oxygen cylinder shows no real signs of wear from 200 yards and out. I want them to last so
I haven't tried to shoot at 100 yards yet.

If you want some disc's, I have some 1/2" scrap steel, it is too heavy for the tractor to load up, but once this burn ban is over, I could cut some out for you

Got my rifle hitting at 300 & 400 yards this evening with these nifty targets. It's an oxygen/acetylene bottle cut in half. Rings like a bell pretty good.

I know it's nowhere near "moa" shooting but getting over 35 hits out of 40 sure was fun.

Using my 16" WOA SS barreled upper with TR24G optic.

we've been using clay pigeons on a post. pigeon blows up no need to walk and see if you hit or use a scope. and if you can hit that you can kill the rascly rabbit
