Holster modification

I went out today and bought some stuff to extend my holster out. I spaced it from the mount about an 1 and 3/16 inch. Was told by somebody that this was unheard of and is not the norm! But it fits a lot better and is not digging into my waist. What is your opinion??

it started out as CC, and ended up a comp holster.

It is the detent is still intact and it is as secure to the bracket as it was new. so should be good to go.
