Do you create a problem that wasn't there or create a new problem, or find out what the problem really is?. Let's do some legislating that will make us feel good. OMG! they can assemble an assault rifle!
I'm pretty sure it wasn't heading for the local gun club and has been happening for years, and all their legislation won't do a damn bit of good.

Typical tactic of the anti gunners.

Chip away at the little things and before long, they have met their agenda.

I read a report today that the anti-gunners hired a marketing agency to tell them how to market their agenda on large venues. (see how Potus, and others always have one or two of them in the background?)

Always say how how many children were effected by whatever event they choose to use.

They never say how many children were saved by gun owners. The saved children are in the majority by a long shot. (pardon the pun))

The anti gun left is starting to jump on the shooting in Duncan in calls for more gun control. They seem to overlook the fact that every gun law on the books said these three boys should be able to get a gun.
