Just a brief few words about me.
I own two Colt .45's, one is a 1911 US ARMY, and the other is a pre-WWII Government Model. Both are refinished, parkerized. Not worth much, except to shoot. And that's why I bought them (in the late 1990's).
I actually prefer the Para-Ordnance pistols of the early to mid 1990's, of which I own several, over the single stack 1911 design.
I was a US Army bandsman for 20 years. I played the trumpet. I retired in 1999.
I work full time at Lowe's. And my wife and I still live just outside Ft. Knox, where I was last stationed when I retired.
