Welcome!

I'm guessing by your screen name that you are into an alternative lifestyle? :D

I took Aikido for a bit. Wish I had stuck with it but it was too far to drive and I couldn't dedicate my life to it which is what I felt it required to be be any good at it.

Loved it though and may get into it again someday.

Well as to my shooting interests I'm really just a paper puncher but I'm giving some thought to some of guns games out there.
My name does reflect one of my other interests I have a 3rd degree black belt (Sandan) in Aikido I have changed over the years to a harder style my teacher would probably rebuke me for calling my present style Aikido "The Way of Harmony". I have studied Royce Gracie JuJitsu also but only made purple belt but that came straight from Royce so that is cool.

there is a awesome place in okc to do it... windsong is the name...

I have a good friend in Houston and he holds a 6th degree blackbelt in Aikido and is also a head sensei of the dojo he trains at.

The founders of both Wind Song and Shobu Aiki dojos studied with Karl Geis from Houston who is a 10th Dan Tomiki style, at least that is my understanding. Maybe your friend is a 6th Degree in Tomiki style. I know that Shobu taught Tomiki style Aikido. I was always a little more heavy handed so my Aikido is at best Aiki-Jitsu and maybe more just straight Ju-jitsu.

My friend trained with Karl Geis for awhile and relayed to me that Geis is a complete asshole. LoL Tomiki style sounds very familiar so you're probably correct.

To be honest I had heard that too, but I never met the man so I had no first hand knowledge. Oh well I have met some of my best friends doing Martial Arts and I've met some real A holes thankfully many more good than bad.

I figured I better welcome you too since I'm scared you would kick my ass if I didn't. If you are thinking about taking your shooting to the next level like you have done with your Aikido do it! You won't regret it. Let us know if you have any questions. We really enjoy sharing our passion for the shooting sports with new shooters.

Thanks Jesse and everyone else for the nice welcome. Don't worry about getting anything kicked I really have learned to talk tough and not much else LOL.
