Hello from the Upstate

Hello everyone. I just found out about this forum from a Low Country friend, so I decided to drop by and check it out. I'm a regular on many gun boards, mostly geared to the Kalashikov weapon types, although I'm into about anything cool or military. Building is my passion. As far as I know I'm the only "2ndAmendican" out there, so if you see me on any other gun/survival boards, say hello.

Hey Paco, thanks for the invite. Where do you go to shoot around here? I hate having to drive all the way down to the public range in Clinton. It's a real pain. I would love to find some public land where it safe to shoot, and really stretch the legs on a couple of my rifles. It's hard to find anywhere with more than 100-200 yards.

I work downtown so I'll visit AllenArms for some pistol shooting sometimes.
For 100yd ranges I usually go to the pickens or Walhalla DNR rage. I like the Walhalla range better because there's no 1 shot every 3 seconds rule.

Paco, I didn't know there is a 200 yard range in Spartanburg. Is it new? I'll go check out the link.

I used to buy a lot of my guns/ammo from T and K Outdoors on John Dodd Road up there in Spartanburg. Great folks, decent prices. It just got to be a pain dealing with I-85 traffic at quitting time, driving up and back.
