Jesse just pointed me in the direction of this site & it looks very cool.

Im one of the match organisers for http://four4islands.org we run & support both practical shotgun & new to the Uk multy gun matches although its shotgun & .22 rifles.

Our gun laws suck big time & to shoot real 3 gun i come over with a group of Brits twice a year to Madisonville KY where we hang out at the Tristate gun club & then shoot matches with Gary Welborn over at Owensboro KY.

Im Mossberg's UK sponsored shooter & compete in the States with one of the first Jerry Miculek 930's & at home with a 28" barrel 930 in Open class.

lookind forward to last week in October to get some quality trigger time in KY.

Hey Jesse thanks for the heads up on the score program , may take up an offer to RO the pro/am as my good shooting Kentucky buddy Phillip Gamblin will be on staff , id been at Rockcastle for 2010 the Shotgun Pam & bust my knee on day one its a fine range complex but chuffing hot.

How bad are the firearm restrictions Across the pond??

Firearms & shotguns restricted by Police licencing , you have to show a good reason to own each gun & lock them & ammo away.To buy ammo you have to show your certificate & are limited to about 2000 rounds total hold.
five guns in total is the normal to own at any time & every time you buy or sell your licence goes back to the Police to be updated .................. then takes two months to come back !!

Shotguns have a seperate Police issued certificate - buy again you have to have authority to buy & sell.

Shotguns with over 3 round capacity are classed as firearms - all shotguns have a minimum of 24" barrels.

Ar's & Ak's are available but with no gas system all have to be hand cranked & normal boltaction rifles & leveraction carbines are allowed.

Can you see the side extended bolt cut into the AR upper - like a bolt action.

No handguns or semi auto center rifles , blackpowder pistols only or what they call LBP thats a long barrel pistol witha 12" barrel & a welded 12" bar out the back of the grip !

.22 semi autto rifles are ok as are LBP semi auto pistols but again in .22 lr only.

Shotgun only matches are the norm although we are trying to run multy gun matches with shotguns & .22 rifles.
Nothing beats real 3 gun in the States.

I too shoot a Mossberg 930 JM. I'm not sponsored though. Maybe you can put in a good word for me? Kidding of course. Glad your here. I hope one day they come to their senses and let you own some non molested firearms across the pond. Good for you for coming this way to shoot some matches every year. That's real dedication. I have a hard time driving for 2 hours to shoot a match.
