Hey fellas,

New member here. Lurking and posting on other forums for years; Classicbroncos.com, Archerytalk, OSA, etc.

I've had some sort of gun in my hand most of my life, but have really only started my journey in shooting regularly, carrying regularly, training, for the last year or so and now thinking more about the competitive aspect of shooting. Took tactical handgun w/ Mike Seeklander about 4 years ago, had some one on one with Eric Fuson, been in Eric's Fight Night class at 2A for nearly a year and am signed up for TDSA's Advanced Combat Pistol Level 1 in April. I'm sure this is going to lead to many other classes offered out there!

Spin off question from previous paragraph....I'm 43, in decent shape and still pretty active. Bowhunt regular from Oct-Jan, golf regularly, etc. got some experience boxing as a kid and of course the occasional fist fight while puffing out chest and comparing egos with the next guy growing up. What I'm looking for now is real world, hand to hand combat skills. Strikes, some submissions, take a-ways (gun, knife, etc), contact, etc. I'm not looking for an exercise class and/or sparring with some dude that would cry if he actually got punched in the nose. The exercise should be a by-product of the activity. I don't really want to go to my office with broken bones, stitches, black eyes and busted lips every day like Edward Norton in Fight Club...but, somewhere that occasionally gears you up and go at it at least half speed occasionally. My thought process here is similar to doing dry fire drills in the living room...unless you also practice the real deal, your not gonna be your best at it. So, anyone know of a facility/discipline in the Tulsa/Owasso area that fits this description? Or, do I need to be looking for Mitch Rapp and convince him to do some one on one training for me?

Honestly, didn't know this site existed until I stumbled upon it late one night while googling Marshall Lutons training.

Excited to be here and looking forward to meeting some of you on the range, in training and learning a few things here on the threads.

Thanks Ryan. Was going to inquire there anyway and would be really handy as I live in Owasso.

Welcome to the forum. Come out and shoot some matches with us. It may not be grappling but it sure feels like a kick in the face when a chump like Cyrwus beats you.

Welcome from a fellow EBer. Same screen name over there, sans spaces. If memory serves, you have the maroon late model with the tan accents, right?

Welcome!!!

Krav mags is a great place to start. The guys gave already mentioned that though.
