Bought a new Kimber 1911 45 cal. My first 1911. Now thinking of either another Kimber or a Springfield. Don't know much about Springfield except they may be made in Brazil?? Or, is that just the slide? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Roszhou, strange, I saw those same pictures posted by a guy claiming to be from Ga. on the Kimber Talk forum with a totally different story. The answer to your question is the same as the other poster. You can either clean it, lube it and try shooting it or just call Kimber's customer service and see what they have to say.
