Hello from Commiecticut

Hello everyone. I have been checking this forum for the past year.
Finally, my wife and I have an offer on our house in Commiecticut. If everything goes according to plan we will be heading to SC end of May

We've visited the upstate area and we think we have settled on the Rock Hill / York county / Lake Wylie area as I need to be close to a major airport with my job that requires frequent travel. Any input you have on the area will be appreciated.
We are looking forward to moving to a free state and bring our unfortunately neutered AR 15 but will look forward to reverse the vasectomy.

Down in Lake Wylie this weekend looking for a house and trying to understand if there are any stupid laws on the books in Clover or York county prohibiting discharge of a firearm in case of a threat. For training and recreational shooting my wife and I will have to find a range but that will come later.
While I read that state laws preempt local ordinances I would like to receive feedback on local laws in Clover, Lake Wylie, York County discharging firearms(if any). Your comments and feedback will be appreciated.
