Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself after joining this forum, I frequent CSC a lot (hope that is ok I said that) but it's mostly NC residents and I wanted to find more SC representation, so google found this place for me!
My wife and I moved down south last July from NJ (gasp, I know!) and while we were scoping out the areas of Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Clover SC we rented right over the border in Charlotte. Finally found the house we were looking for after only 3 short months and closed last October in Fort Mill. So we're finally settled in and loving every minute of it (besides this recent freak snowstorm that hit us. I thought I was moving far enough south to miss snow but I was apparently wrong). My wife and I came to the CLT area about 8 years ago to visit for a week and look around the different towns with the goal of ending up down here within 3 years, but life threw us a big curveball and the financial markets and real estate took a nose dive keeping us held hostage in our condo we bought in 2006 and in a state that we no longer wanted to be in. But we made it finally and are very happy to be down south. Everyone is extremely friendly (which is uncommon in the Northeast tri-state area) and we are really enjoying the area. Close to the mountains, only 20 minutes outside CLT, and just a few hours to Charleston and the beaches. And we're only 10 minutes from Lake Wylie which is another reason we chose this area because we own a wakeboat and do a lot of wakeboarding when the weather warms up.
I am dipping my toes into reloading and at present have almost all my equipment minus a few things that I'm waiting on (should be here today) and still need to pick up a tumbler and media (can't decide on the Harbor Freight model or the Cabela's 400 as a starter). I'm really looking forward to being able to reload and shoot more, because damn it ammo is expensive.
Anyways, hope to contribute here and even learn a lot like I usually do.
