Blatant thread jack alert.
I can attest from first hand knowledge that a national match rear aperture is most definitely NOT the way to go on a HM 3G rifle.

damn, i'm a noob and have never shot a 3 gun match in my life so i probably have no business posting here but i gotta tell ya...
what first drew my attention to shooting competitions was the he man division. like alot of plinkers/hunters that are looking to make the jump to 3 gun i thought, hey, i have a pump shotgun and a .45 so all i need to do is get a .308 rifle and i can compete in this division. well, with the introduction of these new rules, that is out the window. not only that but just the thought of using large caliber ammo and pump action shotguns has its own appeal. i'm really bummed to hear about these new rules...
