I have a kimber cdp and i was thinking about having it hard chromed in a satin color. My ? is can it be applied to a alum. frame and will it hold up.

some folks will say yes; Ill say no; its not a foolproof finish for aluminum.
A great option wold be Robar's NP3+ coating. I did a clot new agent a few month ago and it was very slick.

Thanks mike. I will get with you on my frame. I've heard alot of good on that robar finish.
I will agree, chrome on aluminum is a bad idea, the problem comes when the aluminum oxidizes under the chrome and it just sits there falling apart while you see the nice shiny hard chrome, then when you least expect it the chrome starts flaking off exposing what has done underneith.
Go with the Robar finish.
