I am just fishing here to see if there is any interest in the community for something like this. I know alot of folks have asked for a weeknight match, however, most ranges can't afford to shut down early for such an event in fear of loosing revenue. A couple of summers ago I ran a summer rimfire league where competitors came and shot one stage each monday over the course of 12 weeks. I was wanting to see if there was any interest in doing the same thing uspsa style. One stage each week over 10 or 12 weeks. The stage would stay set up from 5-8pm on a designated weeknight. The shooter would come in and pay a weekly fee and shoot thru the stage. The scores would be kept cumulatively over the course of the 10 or 12 weeks. Each competitor would be allowed on missing week and if you made all weeks you would be allowed to drop one week. The stages would be made up of some classifiers (not for record) and some longer courses of fire.
Just thought I would proceed or drop the idea based on the number of responses I got here.
THanks for you consideration.

I'd be down. 4-8 weeks with the option to skip two weeks in case things stop us from attending like homework or my favorite tv show.

I was thinking 8 weeks with the option to miss one week. 10 dollars per week, 5 of which automatically goes into the prize pool. prizes would most likely be gift cards or product depending on if I could get vendors to ante up. prizes awarded to top three spots in each division, production, limited and open. uspsa rules, interm results posted on practiscore after each week. I am not sure how to drop a week for those that attend all 8 weeks, but I am sure that would get all kinds of suggestions on this forum.

8 weeks is doable but I'm sure I would end up missing at least two weeks.

I was thinking originally about thursday nights?
maybe burk could set up a survey on boomershooter that would better gauge the interest overall? huh burk? whatcha think?

I can do it (actually I think you can too). But I will do it for you, since you are kind of slow.

What options? Just Monday Thursday? Or do you want me to put every weekday on the poll?

I think monday or thursday would be fine. I know that we would be in bay 6 (the nice bay). I would like to get an idea of how much interest we would have so I am not putting alot of time and effort into 6 participants. I would judge that based on the number of responses to the survey.
and yes, I am kinda slow when it comes to these computer machines! lol

well, just the prestige of having a tv star there some of the weeks would certainly help with attendance, and if you would not announce when you weren't gonna be there folks would come every week in hopes of getting a glimpse of the sunglasses indoors!
