Might, if I can get a kitchen pass. Been helping a buddy in Columbia move & get his house wired for net/cable/etc and kinda in the doghouse because of it :?

If I go, I'll be looking for powder primarily - Benchmark and something I can use for both 9mm and .45 ACP. I have some universal, but I think bullseye might be a better choice.

I'm planning to take that upper I'm trying to sell with me to the gun show to see if I can sell it there, anything in particular I have to do to be able to carry it around without any trouble?

Just the upper I think you'd be fine with. If you have a gun lock run it through the upper just to be safe and keep people from being "scared."

Maybe we should all meet up around 7:30 for some java somewhere. Doors open at 0900. No panic this month so I imagine the line shouldn't be too bad.

Where you want to meet? I have to wait for my Nephew to pick-up his wife from work, so coffee sounds good.

Dave

There are Waffle Houses on 78 and College Park Rd.
Atlanta Bread is fine with me and I didn't see a No Gun sign last time I was in there.

Atlanta Bread Co is up on Main St in Summerville. Dave, I think the Waffle House you're talking about is on College Park just off the north side of I-26 past the Sunoco. That's closest to the fairgrounds.
I'll go there. I'll be in my green and black jeep.

They have an Atlanta Bread on 78 close to Trident Hospital. I'll see you at the Waffle house around 7:35

Nope, shut down. Right now it's being remodeled into something else. Just noticed it last weekend.

How was the Ladson Gun Show

So how was the Ladson Gun Show.

I went to the North Charleston Show, very impressed with quick lines, lots of parking, space between tables, number of tables, room to move, also got great deals on Beretta mags, good deal on Glock 21 mags and Taurus 92 mags. Ammo prices were a little high compared to online shops.

It's been over a year since I went to the exchange grounds but I remember the Ladson one being very very crowded, wall to wall people, space between tables were close.

Wasn't too bad. As usual gun prices weren't any better than retail but expected that going in the door. Only had one person look at the upper I took to sell so that was a bummers got some ammo from P-1 and left. The crowd wasn't too bad but the aisles were the same as they always have been, a little narrow. Georgia Arms didn't have near the ammo they usually have but P-1 had plenty, including .300Blk. Wish. I could have bought more.

I attended this morning. Enjoyed talking with kg4kpg and Rotarymike. Picked up a 1# of Lil'Gun for .327 Mag. Talked to P-1 and picked up a box of 5.56. The gun prices were the pits. Some of the ammo prices were ridiculous. I'll keep reloading for now. I did talk to P-1 about doing a group buy for 50,000 9mm FMJ in 115 and/or124. Let me know if you are interested.

Went Sat AM with Dave and KG4KPG. Got the last two bottles of Benchmark, and a recoil enhancer for my .22 AR slidefire setup. Other than that, nothing terribly interesting. Had some interest in the '42 Springfield Garand I brought, but no one wanted to part with actual money for it.

There were a few WWII guns but I refuse to pay $800 for a Mauser, $2200 for a 1903A3 or $300 for a Mosin of any model number.

Spent most of my time talking to vendors that I knew - D&R, P1, Tommy Judy (not sure what his new training co. is called) and such.

Didn't see any reasonable 8mm ammo. .22LR was about $70/brick; old bricks, at that. No good defensive 9mm other than Jeff's.

Was also looking for a soft gun case for my second 10/22 - cheapest I found was $40.

We waited until 2 or so to go. The rain was still coming down so we figured it would be pretty quiet, and it was. Best experience I've had at that show.

Gun prices still high, yes, but I did see some new Gen 3 glocks for $479 but most at $499. I did score some 6.8 SPC for about $0.75/round, grabbed 100 rounds at that price, didn't hurt too bad.

I also threw in with a friend and bought a target from "Wax 'Em Targets" I think was the name. It's a wax head, with a hole in the bottom for 1.5" PVC or similar pipe. The display they had at the booth, the guy had screwed a lag bolt with an "eye" on the end into the top of the head, and hung the target that way, but it wasn't very sturdy it didn't seem .

They say it will take thousands of rounds with no ill effect, so we shall see. Guy was super nice, is from Goose Creek, and purchase includes a "re-mold" when we do tear it up. He will melt it down (even if it's in pieces) and create a new mold of the old material. It's not soft like ballistics gel, it's really rather hard. Should be a good target for a while and the weather won't bother it being set up at our "range."
