Guess what showed up at my door?

180gr plated over 5.1gr solo-1000 @1.135
A lil help from the guys here got me on the right track.
I started @4.2 and now I know what they mean about .40 minor being close to cheating!

Finally got time to work up a load. 5.6 gr of Bluedot under 170 gr SWC. It runs from 997-1010fps across the chrony. For comparison, shot some 180 grain WWB factory stuff. It ran right around 1100fps.
Ran 50 rounds through the gun flawlessly. The only concern was the brass hitting me on top of the head occasionally. The rest of the time, it was falling a couple of feet to the right.
I'm thinking a softer mainspring may cure that issue?

I would try a 13 lb spring.
Glad you found a decent load. Please make note of the BD warning from the manufacturer.
Have fun with that new gun.

Yeah, the blue dot is inversely sensitive to temps. Pressure rises as it gets colder. I'm betting I'll run out of the BD by summers end, then get some WST.

That bit about the manufacturers notice was more for others who may not have known. I figured you would know. Big difference in the expasion of a 12 bore and a 40 cal though.

WST, 320, AA2, and I have one person who manufacturers a very good bullet tell me 310. I am to much of a wuss to drop down to 310.

Matter of fact I loaded 200 180s up with WST a couple weeks ago. I usally use less powder and go for a very soft minor load, but upped the charge a couple of tenths as well as lengthed the OAL from 1.125 to 1.135. Have not ran them over the chrony but they are nuts on at 15yds for the 10 I shot. Bullet was Rainier FP. Reason, I have ben told every little bit helps and it couldn't/wouldn't hurt. :O

Seems I spend more on springs then I do anythng else. Purcahse two so you have a spare. That right there is my problem. By an extra , they are cheap, or go ahead and replace them in the other guns while your ordering they are cheap... Well those damn things add up quick. Of course I shoot Glocks but I have run 13s since 2001. You know it is time to change the spring when you pull the slide back about 1/2 of an inch or so, let go, and the slide wont go into full battery (on a Glock anyway). Those ISMI springs can take a beating as well.
