The Gun Gods sent this to me Saturday. M&P Pro .40, 5".
Haven't put a round through it yet, but its time is coming pretty quick.

New to this gun, as I'm a 1911 guy, but I'm open to suggestions. Fire away.

Right off the batt, I know some stippling on the grips is in order, without firing a shot. I love the fiber optic front sight. Trigger is way different than a 1911, but its 4lb, so not too bad.

Here is my quandary. Do I shoot L10, or Limited with the new pistol?
OR, do I shoot two classifications?
That would put me into the 500+ round area.

A true iron man competitor?

If you shoot Limited get some Taylor Freelance mag extensions. No need for .40 in Production, 9Pro is the gun for that. Go L or L10 and have some fun. If you like it you'll eventually be getting a 2011 but you can have some fun with the .40Pro in the meantime.

Minor 40 with 135's is retardedly low recoil. And you size queens get that awesome extra fraction of an inch. I know 2 guys who enjoy it

I just finished up my M&P limited/limited-10 rig last month.
The Apex FSS trigger is the closest thing to a 1911 that I have found. If you install it with the stock (pro) spring it will be 1-1.5lb lighter than the apex spring.
The apex RAM gives a very positive reset as well.
SSS magwell.
TF basepads from WALL
Dawson adjustable sights & .305 Front.
I'm very happy with it.

SSS magwells are out of stock right now. I'm on their email notification list when they get in.
Got the TF base pads and three mags from Wall yesterday. Holster and mag pouches on order.
It's coming together.

Limited magwell. I just started to work up a load last night. When changing the primer charger, the spring went TWANG, and disappeared in the shop. Spent an hour looking for that thing, and never found it. I'll order two today.
The load I was getting ready to try is a 170 grain SWC with 6.5 grs of bluedot.
I have a couple of pounds of bluedot in the cabinet that I bought for heavy load shotshells a couple of years ago. It needs to be used, so called Alliant and got the suggested powder load to start at. He said it would be pretty soft, and may not work the action, so its a starting point.
