Growing Sprouts

Does anyone have a Sprout kit set up? They are full of nutrients and you can have access to food in a relatively short amount of time to keep you going while your survival garden is growing. I am currently getting mine set up so that I can have a supplement to my emergency food storage. It would be nice to have some fresh greens to go with the MREs and ramen noodles.

Dullards!!! :angry: Ya'll leave RH alone ...

I have actually grown some alfalfa spouts in the last few days. They were so much better than the storebought sprouts. Much crisper and actually tasted better too. I am about to order a "sampler pack" of seeds off of amazon and give some of the other sprouts a try now. I'll let you know how it goes ...

Guess sprounts are like anything else ... If you can grow your own you are better off than going to the store ... SHTF or not!

I'm pretty good at growing sprouts, on my potatoes.
Every time I (my wife) buys a bag of potatoes, we forget they're in the pantry.

The wife has been doing sprouts for years. I've always figured if I needed to bug out our sprout kits (jars and lids) would be some of the first things packed. I can't imagine a more efficient and a more portable/packable way to insure 'fresh vegetable' nutrition.
