Groucho's Deli

I am not on to wax poetic on the subject of food. for me it usually amount to "well that eatery didnt kill me". However i need to direct you to Groucho's Deli, off of Sam Rittenberg Blvd (1871 Sam Rittenberg Bld, Charleston SC 29407). I have eaten at many a sandwich shop, and this is on of the best ones i have ever been to. The serving sizes ae decent, the seletion is excelent, the owner and wait staff are friendly and courteous, and the prices are reasonable (They are far better than reasonable during "sandwich happy hour", M-F 5-8pm any specialty sandwich and drink for 5.99. Much better than the fast food alternates). service has always been fast, friendly, courteous, and fun to chat with when they aren't running around feeding everyone. And the cookies are extra yumalicious to boot.

As if all of that wasnt enough to commend them to you, they will shortly be situated next to the newest shooting range in charleston (more on that in a different post). So need some percusive therapy and a filling meal, grouchos is the place to go

I'll second the review. My Wife and I used to eat at the original Groucho's in Columbia, SC in the mid 70's. We were thrilled when they built one in West Ashley and down on King Street. Best deli sandwiches around now.

Darn. I've been to the one in Columbia but never even knew they had one down here near Charleston. It was AMAZING up there so I'll definitely give this one a try.

Yeah I live right next to grouchos five points in Florence. I love the stp dipper there's 21 locations all over SC so check their locations might be one near you! Their also in Georgia and north Carolina
