I was Googling images of morale patches a couple of days ago and within the first two pages I came across my old friend, Burk Cornelius, and some pics of some 'Don't Tread On Me' patches that led me back to this forum.
I had not heard of Boomer Shooter, but it looks like a good forum with a lot of information.
Although I've almost always had a firearm, I'm still a novice shooter. I did recently take the CCW training at US Shooting Academy, but that is the extent of my civilian training. I am an Army veteran and became proficient at some of those weapons way back in the day.
I have an interest in learning more about shooting and becoming active in some competitive shooting. I'm particularly interested in the practical shooting disciplines and would like to get involved in 3 Gun as the money permits. I don't know jack squat about shotguns, so that will be a new learning experience for sure.
I think I've known Burk almost my entire life, so if he's helping to moderate this forum, that's a good thing. I think that guy may have been coon hunting before he could walk. I may have to dig out our high school year book and post some proof. Seems like there's some proof in there somewhere.
