It's that time again...
http://www.scaca.net

What are we expecting this time?
1) .223 under $300/case?
2) Elevated prices on Russian everything?
3) Last ditch efforts to get rid of those panic bought AR's and mags?

If I go, it will be Sunday. If anyone sees any 7.7 Jap ammo Saturday, make a note who has it and post back here, please.

Greenville Gun Show 8/9-10/14- 7.7 Ammo

I got an email this morning that SG Ammo had a special purchase on 7.7 ammo...I didn't follow up because I didn't need it....

But you might check their website...

Hope this helps.

1. Wolf Steel, Yes. Most Brass, not yet. The market is going to keep it at the 320-350 for 55FMJ Import and 350-380 for US. Some deals may be on the front, but prices has stabilized.

2. We sold out stock, have some FIME SGL-31's left, but all the Vepr's are gone and I am already seeing the secondary market really marking them up.

3. AR market has bottomed. The prices out there now are the best they have been and will be. Stock up now, before the next scare.

I'd suggest that with ammo as well. This is the buyers market time.

We just dropped prices on 100's of sku's, to make room for some new stuff.

I may or may not go....

The fact that parking and entrance fees cost dang near 20$ really negates any "deals" you could find unless you were looking for something pretty rare or expensive.

Lets see I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 45-55$ bricks of .22lr.
Although AR prices are wide spread rock bottom on the internet I doubt you will find any thing ball park close to what you can find online.
I don't think people are ready to take those loses yet for those panic buys, plenty of +700$ basic PSA ARs on armslist.
With that said I would say that goes for any ammo too, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 9mm, 45 acp...
My lgs gives me a pretty straight deal on guns so not really looking to haggle for any "deals".

I wouldn't mind finding a nice steel target and I also need scales for a BOLO i am planning on refinishing...

I will admit there is alot of vendors and I do like browsing....

Edit: you could probably do just as well shopping off Woodruff road at: academy, cabelas, and PSA....
I will admit I am spoiled living in greenville I have access to a number of guns stores on a daily basis, I guess the show help to bring a volume of different items in for people to check out in one spot. Plus the not so common items.

Already OOS. Guess I was slow on the draw.

Here is my report from Saturday morning:
Big crowd, but not too many good deals. Especially private sale items are way too high.
I saw lots of looking but not so much buying. Dealers that I talked with agreed - few buyers.
AR's too high compared to local stores.
Lots of 22LR at $50/brick of 500 if you are willing to pay that much for it.
Actually saw a couple of SKS for the $350 range.
A few AK-47's - prices starting around $550 and up.
I was able to get some .44Mag JHP ammo for a good price.
Jeff (P1) had a good selection of ammo as usual. I really enjoyed chatting with him about progress with his new storefront.
My son picked up a Magpul front/rear sight combination for $45.00
Just my opinion, but it seems that there are more "junk" booths (booths selling things that I don't consider gun show appropriate, such as beads and necklaces) and fewer good dealers.
